NEWSLETTER
OCTOBER 1995
WELCOME to
all new and returning members ! The purpose of the Newsletter is to keep
you up-to-date with what’s going on in the Club. You will find that you’ve
joined one of the most vibrant and active clubs at Queens. Whether your
interest is self-defence, fitness conditioning, the art, competition,
or just a whole host of new drinking mates, you’ll soon come to realise
that the you’ve joined the right Club!
CLUB EVENTS
13 November - AGM and first ‘official’ big drinking session of the year.
However, new members with a fondness for alcohol will be pleased to note
that the intense workouts during training tend to work up a good thirst
and consequently ‘unofficial’ sessions are by now tradition within the
Club.
SUB-COMMITTEE
Due to the busy schedule over the past year, the Sub-committee was formed
to look after the social events calendar of the Club. If you feel you’re
the sort of person who could organise a ****-up in a brewery we’d all
be very keen to avail.
COURSES
AND EVENTS
The Club regularly organises and attends a variety of quality technical
courses and events. Details for this academic year’s events calendar have
not as yet been finalised, but members shall be informed during training
sessions.
