The Club is proud to announce that Damien McCartney has been selected
to represent Ireland for the UKC team in the WKC World Karate Championships
in Germany this summer.

The Club travelled to Dublin on 10th April to participate in an Intervarsity event with entrants from DCU and UCD.
Some impressive performances from relative newcomers Gerard Prior and Stephen Long who placed 2nd and 3rd in the Junior Male Kumite respectively - good start to your competition careers lads!
The shock performance of the day came from Adrian and Kevin who joined forces with one of UCD's female karateka to scramble together a hasty team that made it to the finals of the Mixed Team event. Brave performances resulted in Adrian sustaining broken ribs and the team placing second in the finals.
Seasoned Club-members Fiona and Bill put on impressive performances to win their respective categories and Bill also picked up a silver in the Male Kata event.
