11/3/07:
Easter forest rides.
There will be forest rides taking place this Easter
on Tuesday 17th April. They will be at two levels. Advanced
will take place at the Mourne Trail Riding Centre at
Tollymore, and everyone else at Mount Pleasant at Castlewellan.
Cost is £30 for 2 hours. If you would like to
go, please let as know as soon as possible. Money should
be paid before Easter.
1/3/07:
We are planning to attend
some car boot sales to raise money for the club, so
if you've anything you would like to donate, please
email us.
You can bring stuff to the meetings on Mondays or the
lessons on Wednesdays. If you need anything collected,
please speak to Sophie.
29/2/07:
Some of us our planning
on doing the Belfast marathon as a relay team to raise
money for the club. We would really appreciate sponsorship.
You can either give it to the team (Joanne, Mary Rose,
Pippa, Sinead and Lyndsay McAleer) or to a member of
the committee.
21/2/07:
Special St. Patrick's
Day fundraising lesson on Wednesday 14th March. For
£2, please wear as much green as possible and
bring some green food to sell! Meet at the students'
union at 1pm.
20/2/07: Congratulations
to all who took part in the intervarsities at the weekend!
31/1/07: Club
jackets are available, cost £32.50. They are a
navy blouson type with red fleece lining, and are available
in sizes S-L. Please let us know as soon as possible
if you'd like one.
1/12/06: We
are planning on staying in the Mourne Cottage on Wednesday
3rd January, with forest rides for all levels on Thuursday4th
January. Cost of the Mourne cottage is £4 per
person, and a forest ride is £25 per person. If
you are interested, we need the money by Wednesday 13th
December.
13/11/06: This
year's intervarsity trials will take place on Wednesday
6th December at 2pm at Lessans Riding Stables in Saintfield.
These are compulsory for all those who haven't competed
before, or who wish to compete in a different event.
Please let us know by Monday 4th December if you plan
to attend.
3/11/06: Christmas
pony games will take place on Wednesday 13th December.
Cost is £15. There will be food, rosettes, and
prizes for everyone, and a Christmas fancy dress theme.
The event is suitable for all levels. The event will
be followed by Christmas dinner in the evening at 7.30pm
at Cafe Zio on University Road. Cost for this is also
£15. A deposit of £10 should be paid by
Monday 4th December, with the balance paid by 11th.
30/10/06: This
year's intervarsities will take place on Friday 16th-Monday
19th February in Kildare. For more details of what the
competition entails, please see the Competitions Page.
Cost is likely to be around £80 for the weekend. If
you are interested, please let us know which event(s)
you would like to take part in. The prix caprilli event
is suitable for those who have never competed before
(but can canter and jump small fences), so why not give
it a go!
24/10/06: On
1st November, our beginner and intermediate lessons
will ride together at 2pm, and take part in Halloween
fancy dress Pony Games. Pony Games are a bit like school
sports' day on horseback, and are really good fun! Please
come in facny dress and meet at the students' union
at 1pm.
8/10/06: We
will be going bowling at the Belfast Superbowl on Wednesday18th
October. Please meet there at 8pm. Cost is £3,
and a deposit of £1 should be paid by Monday 16th
October.
1/10/06:
This year's tetrathlon will
take place on 10th-12th November in Waterford. The cost is
£70. Please let us know by 18th October if you are interested.
We especially need guys, as there are two girls and two guys
on a team. You don't need to be super fit, so give it a try.
Money (or as much of it as possible) by 18th October please.

1/10/06:
There will be a forest ride on
Saturday 28th October at 2pm, in Castlewellan forest. Cost is
£14 for 1 hour. The ride will be suitable for beginners and
above (groups will be separated). If you're interested, please
email us to let us know. Money is needed
asap.
11/9/06: The club
will be starting up again after our summer break. You
can find us at the Freshers' Festival on Thursday 21st
September for information about what's happening. You
can join the club at the Freshers' Bazaar in the Students'
Union Snackbar on Wednesday 27th September. Our first
meeting will be on Monday 2nd October in room 211 in
the Peter Froggatt Centre. At this meeting, you can
book and pay for lessons, join the club if you haven't
already done so, and find out what else is going on.
Lessons will start on Wednesday 4th October.
