Recommendations for Meta Information


Meta information is used to classify pages and provide an appropriate descriprion of the content of a document as an aid to searching. It is not visable to the reader (except if the source is viewed), but used by search tools as an aid in finding selective information from the web.

It is recommended that the following META information be provided for each file:-

Generator Software used to generate document (Automatically created by software being used to generate the HTML);

Subject One of the following subject definitions:-
