Queen's MTB club is open to all cyclists (downhillers, XCers and even roadies!). The main shindig is on Wednesday afternoons at 2p.m. outside Queens PEC (in Botanic Gardens) and typically involves 2 hour mountain bike excursion to Cave Hill or the Lagan Valley area for rad descending and leisurely frolicking. The club comprises riders of all abilities with bicycles of all description i.e. you don't need nerves of steel and a 2000 full suspension bike to partake in the fun (but it would help!). Joining the club costs 2 for Queens students and 5 for anyone else. Members will receive extra benefits such as reduced price bikes and accessories from a local extreme sports shop (Mad Frog), free use of the club's toolkit and possible funding for excusions. The club may hold some races during February and March in preparation for the Irish Intervarsities race. See the excursions page for more details.
