Still being in its groundwork stages, this event is proposed to be a platform by which we can introduce diverse Malaysian cuisine and sports to the Belfast community. It is also proposed to serve as a fundraiser for the Malaysian Night if funding from sponsorship and the university is not sufficient, although we hope otherwise.

Popular sports in Malaysia include badminton, soccer and table tennis. We are proposing to organize a competition between students with a small joining fee. This fee will contribute to prizes and the rest will be used to either fund the Malaysian Charity Formal, or directly contributed to charity.

As for the Food Fair, we are proposing to hold it in an open space, with booths selling different types of Malaysian and perhaps local Northern Irish food. We are keen to get participation from our local friends to show that the MSSNI is not just a society by Malaysians for Malaysians.
