There are many different publications available from the Lifesaving Society. The publications used by the Queen's Society are listed below. If you wish to purchase these publications, please feel free to contact Morris on saturday morning during the classes.


The lifesavers publication is a very useful manual to aid all participants to the course and in everyday life. This book provides details of the skills and knowledge required to become a competent lifesaver. It contains chapters on water safety & accident prevention, swimming & diving, survival & self-rescue, rescue principles & skills, aftercare and support.


Life Support

The Life Support manual contains many different non water based skills that compliments the Lifesaving manual above. It contains:

  • Resuscitation of Adults, Babies, and Children
  • Response to Heart Attack
  • Drowning and Hypothermia
