Regional committee member, Dr John Aiken is pictured at his Ph.D.graduation  with Dr Mo Mowlam, former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. Dr Mowlam was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the university. John who is a past winner of the IIE's Edwin Spreadbury prize, gained a Ph.D. in 'Optical Information Processing'.
