Glenn Fabry is one of those names that floats past and you know
you've seen it somewhere before... There is a very good reason for
this, as his name is often linked with a number of comics and graphic
novels that have been referred to with the terms "beautiful",
"thought-provoking" and "could offend religious people". He has done a
large amount of incredible cover-work for various comics, including
Batman, Lobo, Tank Girl, and Teenage Mutant
Ninja Turtles(!?). Despite this, he is probably most well-known
for his visceral, detailed work on Slaine (at 2000AD, where he also
worked on Judge Dredd), and creating the original cover-art for 66
issues of Preacher.
His work spans other (geek!) genres, including computer game covers, and work for the British Department of the Environment, Paramount Pictures and Thomas the Tank Engine... though you can find a great deal more detail on his diverse interests by drifting to While we're sure that he will be surrounded by many adoring Preacher-fans at MeCon this year, I'm just excited to hear that the guy who did the Speedball 2 cover is coming! ![]() MeCon is a registered member of Electrical Eggs.
