The African Studies
Association of Ireland (ASAI) was formed in 2000. The object of the
Association is to advance African Studies in Ireland, particularly in Higher
Education. The Association publishes a Newsletter and organises an annual
conference. Its inaugural conference was held at Trinity
College, Dublin in 2000.
The Association’s sixth annual conference was held at University College
Dublin, 2-3

New members are always
welcome and the annual subscription rates are currently €12.50 or £8 for full
members and €6 or £4 for students.
